Cool Mix Edit Help - Recording Sounds

1. Choose Input Source

Before recording sounds, be sure you choose the correct input source. Click [Recording Control] button to open system recording control dialog. Check the input source which you want.

2. Test Recording

Next, it is important to have a good level. Click [REC | Stop] button to start recording. After a short time, click the button to stop recording. Now click [Play Single Sound | Stop] button to review it. This will help guarantee that you get a good signal to noise ratio and that your recordings are coming out relatively strong.

If the level is weak, you may need to adjust your soundcard¡¯s recording levels. Make sure that the CD, line-in or microphone level in the soundcard¡¯s mixer is not muted and is at a good level. After adjusting, maybe you need test recording again.

Until you get a good signal, Click [Remove] button to remove all test recording sounds.

3. Recording with Background

Recording with background will let you record while playing back added sounds as background music. If you want to record something while listening background music, such as singing a song, you can check the [With Background] option to enable this mode. In this case, we recommend you use an earphone to listen the background music to prevent it entering into the input device.

4. Start recording!

Once the recording source has been selected and you have a good level, press the [REC | Stop] button. A new sound will be generated and grow longer. When finished, hit the [REC | Stop] button again.

Click [Play Single Sound | Stop] button to play the sound to see if it was a good recording. If you don¡¯t like it, hit the [delete] button and try recording again.
